I'm Nia (she/they/fae), M.A., NCC, LPC, certified therapeutic astrologer, trained Hakomi practitioner, and certified death doula.
My calling is to share space that is soulful, compassionate, and life-affirming. Although aspects of therapy (and therefore the self) may be painful or challenging, I am here to greet the already-existing sense of truth within you and support a felt-sense of reconnection, re-sourcing, value and integration.
Committing to wellness and sensitivity-related acceptance may be the hardest decision you have ever made. I offer you directness and compassion amid all the potentials of change and choice. What brings you here may include senses of heightened awareness, altered states of consciousness, grief, death anxiety, and a lack of clear communication. There is space for all of your emotions/experiences within the scope of my practice.
Let's connect; a free 15-20m meet-and-greet helps us determine our working compatibility.
Our working alliance
*Are you in conflict with yourself because of recurrent boundary violations?
*Do you recognize self-held barriers to effectively communicating your emotional needs?
*Do you have a known-sense of sensitivity that you cannot tolerate?
*Are you an outlier who wants to cultivate internal acceptance and be witnessed in your singular ‘ness’?
*Is there suffering around any part of the dying or grief process that you want to alleviate?
I hold special interest in guiding highly sensitive people and unconventional souls through complex emotional terrain. This includes healing from grief and death anxiety, navigating relational challenges, and developing assertive communication skills.
I'm especially passionate about supporting creatives, and those integrating spiritual/extraordinary/anomalous experiences for deeper self-worth. My almost-ten years' experience as a professional astrologer roundly informs this type of work.
Clients who do well with my approach are open-minded and flexible, and who come prepared with precise intentions for each meeting. Black-and-white thinkers, those who act with impulsivity, or those who aren’t interested in cultivating resilience or autonomy would best be served by another practitioner.
Therapy is one way of accessing inner wisdom. Your senses of meaning, gratitude, joy, fulfillment, presence, change, and individual truth are worthy of compassion and attentiveness.
The therapeutic process continue to highlight difficult emotions as you reassert your desires and intentions to live well. Communication issues, break-ups (platonic and romantic), relocation stress and grief, dream and nightmare processing, present-moment awareness all hold special interest in our work.
We can share a 15m meet-and-greet call to see how our therapeutic intentions may match.
